In my mind, we're back in Carolina

Got a call from James Taylor at the Atlantic Yacht Basin (my apologies James, I bet you get these jokes all the time). They hauled our boat and found that...ta da...the rudder was bent and the prop was...missing it's blades. Bob told him we bought that propeller because we can sail sooo much faster if our prop has no blades! He said there was also some structural damage, but not much. We have not yet heard from the insurance company, and we have no idea when we will get the boat back.

Vacation is over.

We've been back for a week, and it still feels odd. Leah goes home tomorrow, Abby starts school on Monday, and I suppose I'll have to go back to work. No word from the boatyard on our below-the-waterline repairs, but we're not quite ready to go anywhere anyway.
